You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread man!
I’ve been running, in lots of ways. I have been physically running, to get ready for my half marathon next weekend. This has been quite the experience…I actually ran that distance on my own about a week ago, and my muscles are still pretty tired now as I run my basic 6 miles. I can tell my body is getting faster though, as I practice more consistently. I have come a long way in the past few months as my health starts to return. I just have to keep reminding myself to keep the end goal in mind, and not how I feel right now. It will be awhile until I am back where I used to be. This whole experience has made me more understanding of people that struggle just to keep healthy. It used to be so easy and natural for me, even when I was pregnant 5 times. I would gain 50 pounds and lose it like nothing. Now that my hormones are in balance, and I am getting my energy back I have the energy to work like I need to.
My kids are most definitely keeping me running, now that they are out for the summer! I love hanging out with them, and making memories. BBQ’s, swimming, boating, reading stories in a tent, hiking, four wheeling, going on hikes, eating snow cones, making s’mores…I could go on and on. But then fun has already begun!
My nose has been doing quite a bit of running. I have been sick for almost 2 weeks now. It has made it hard to train for my half marathon, but I don’t really have a choice.
And lastly, I have been trying to take a lot of pictures and yes, run out of room on my photo cards. Shooting in RAW format takes up so much more room! It you want to see my FIRST official photo shoot, CLICK HERE! Pink Moss Photography, is officially on it’s way! Go easy on me, it is my first. I wouldn’t mind getting constructive criticism if you have some. You know in art school, people sit around all day and critique each others work for hours! I need to get a bit tougher skin for that, but that is how you get better.
This is one of my favorite

I am working on a post that has been brewing for a few days. It is interesting to me how out of nowhere, things hit us. We learn hard/good lessons when we least expect it. That is how my past week has been, and at some point I will share it with you! It is a lesson we all need to hear, and be reminded of (myself included!)
Thanks for visiting!
I hope you are having a great summer!
Good luck on your marathon!!! 🙂
Congrats on your first photo shoot! That picture is adorable!
Have a great week! 🙂
