For several months my friend Barbara has been planning a kick off event for

Help Me Grow“. I was lucky enough to help out with the planning and coordinating. I had a great time working with her interns. It is always an interesting thing to plan a party for lots of people, especially when it was the first year because you never know quite how many people to plan for.

Before we set up on Saturday, Kinley, Lizzy, and Rosie painted the big wooden flowers for decoration and to mark where each event would take place.

THANKS GIRLS!!

We set off early that morning to get everything set up. It was a BEAUTIFUL day and we couldn’t have been happier to see the sun after enduring weeks of wind and rain!

The mastermind of it all, Barbara Leavitt!

We made sure there was a big jumpy toy….

A Balloon guy…

A yumee-licious pancake breakfast, complete with fruit and juice…

A super fun parachute game to play…

And some more great volunteers. *Daughters of the planning team don’t have a choice!*

a bubble story time complete with an art project …

and the best part of all…CUTE kids from all over the valley!

And a supportive husband that loads trailers, and makes the pancakes.

Because Whitney couldn’t decide what she wanted the balloon shaped like,

he gave her a worm!

I loved watching mom’s read to their kids from the free books we handed out.

Next year will be even bigger and better! I can’t wait!
